Group Workshop: An Introduction to OfS Registration and Essentials for Franchise Providers

About this event

This online group workshop is part of QAA’s New Provider Service and offers valuable information and guidance to help you boost the quality of preparations for registration with the Office for Students (OfS). The workshop aims to enhance your understanding of the initial conditions of OfS registration, including quality and standards requirements (the B7/B8 assessment).  

There is an important regulatory change on the horizon - if you are the delivery partner in a franchise arrangement and plan to teach more than 300 students in any given year after 2028-29, you will need to become OfS registered or you and your students will not be able to access public funding. Unregistered franchised providers must submit their application for OfS registration by midnight on 30 June 2026 for your application to be considered "in good time". We are here to offer support, and this event will help you understand what this change means for your organisation and outline what the application process will look like and how QAA can help to ensure you are prepared well ahead of the deadline.

Who is this workshop for?

For higher education providers based England and who are deciding whether to, or planning to, register with the Office for Students (OfS). It will be of particular interest to Heads of Quality, Quality Managers and those in similar roles.

What is the cost?

The fee for this workshop is £195 per person. The workshop has a total capacity of 15 places. You will be asked for payment at point of registration. Please note, you will not be able to attend the workshop if we have not received your payment.
